Description:

A neat vintage 1960's Harris & Mallow MCM walnut wall clock with brass plated Arabic numerals and dot markers. Harris & Mallow clocks, often branded as Verichron, were manufactured by the Harris & Mallow Company, which had a factory in Howell and Lakewood, New Jersey, operating from approximately the 1960s to 1992. While assembled in the USA, many components, including movements, were imported from Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan. The arms are cut out brass with sun, moon and star design. The eight day windable clock is in running condition and comes with it's original key. The top edge has a 1/2" hole and the bottom a 3/16" hole, I do not know why, it does not detract from the great looks of this 60's period clock. Overall a neat piece to use in the home or office!

Measures approx.; 10" diameter x 2 3/4" thick.

Condition:

Overall good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. The sun rays have sightly warped around the edges, I see this with many of these clocks. It's not detracting, just gives it some dimension. You can see it in the photos when laid flat on a surface. Clock runs, speed adjustment may be needed to be adjusted as usual. If you plan on using the clock to tell time every day, I would clean the internals of the works and lubricate as one should for years of continuous operation. Please view all photographs as they are part of the condition report.

My name is Kevin Bruneau and I have been in the fine arts and collectibles business for over 30 years. I've owned antique shops, auction houses, a consignment shop, and even did a TV reality show hunting down collectible treasures. Today I travel hundreds of miles per week to find interesting pieces to bring to my BKCranston eBay site. Most items are sourced from local house-calls, auctions, and estate tag and yard sales. My interests are broad so you will never know what I will list next. It could be an old master paintings or a baseball card collection. Be sure to check in often, as my store and auction offerings are forever growing and changing with fun and interesting new inventory.
