Antique Italian Majolica wall plate from the Minghetti Studio in Bologna, probably early twentieth century. Minghetti made a reputation for his highly decorative earthenwares in the 1880s and his studio continued producing quality pieces until finally closing in 1967. This is most likely early twentieth century. It is all handpainted and remains in excellent condition with no damage or repair.
it is hexagonal. Unfortunately my camera angle, tilt of camera and tilt of plate all work to skew things. But it really is hexagonal with parallel sides.
measures 9 1/2” from side to side (24cm). 11” (28cm) from corner to corner. No damage.
