The radio powers on and lights up when the knob on the side is turned. As of right now it makes a high pitched noise as doesn't seem like it can find a station. I'm sure you need an antenna, I'm just no expert in these so I'm not sure.

It's in good shape overall and has been sitting on a mantle for the better half of 30 years now.
