USS Lofberg DD-759 Gearing-Class Destroyer – Vintage Canvas Naval Print – Cold War Era
Up for sale is a striking vintage canvas print featuring the USS Lofberg (DD-759), a Gearing-class destroyer that served proudly during the post-WWII and Cold War years.
This is a canvas print (not paper) with rich color and strong detail of the ship underway. A fantastic display piece for Navy veterans, military collectors, or anyone with a connection to DD-759. Print is 24x20.
Condition:
Canvas print (unstretched) • Previously mounted/taped to backing board (see photos for back) • Minor age-related wear consistent with vintage display • Image itself presents well and displays nicely
This would look incredible stretched and framed for a home office, Navy wall collection, veterans hall, or gift for a former crew member or family member who served.
The USS Lofberg (DD-759) was commissioned in 1946 and later modernized during the Cold War era, making this a meaningful commemorative piece from an important chapter of U.S. naval history.
Harder to find on canvas format — most examples are standard paper prints.
If you’re a destroyer collector or served aboard DD-759, this is a great piece of naval history to own.
Ships carefully packaged to protect the canvas. Print seems to be from 60s - 80s with condition on back edges showing its age.
