Major Mikesh served 22 years in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He received 2 Distinguished Flying Cross's and 11 Air Medal's. After he retired from military service he was a curter for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. He was an accomplished author and made over 800 museum quality aircraft models for the museum. He passed away February 12, 2022 less then two weeks short of his 94th birthday.
The plane is signed on top of the right wing in silver sharpie.
The model is built with a wealth of detail and concern for accuracy. It can be displayed setting on it's landing gear or in flight mode on it's display stand.
The model measures approximately 9 inches long with a wingspan of 11 1/2 inches.
BRAND NEW CONDITION
The plane comes packaged in its Original Hobby Master Box with all original accessories secured in it's Molded Plastic Container. It was all removed to take photos of the assembled plane with different options for this listing and then put back in the original packaging.
