the Wired Full-size category.
"Spaciousness, Airiness and Openness are
Remarkable"
"The HD 620S is a headphone that is nice and easy to
listen to: it is dynamic, engaging, musical, detailed enough, weighty, has an
excellent vocal presentation and it isolates well," observes longtime
reviewer Lieven at headfonia.com, June 6, 2024. "For a closed
back headphone in this price range, the spaciousness, airiness and openness are
just remarkable."
"The Sennheisers have nicely judged the balance of the
HD 620S, and being able to offer the airy advantages of open-backs in a
closed-back design is no mean feat," reports What Hi-Fi? magazine,
June 7, 2024. "We find ourselves enjoying the wonderfully open, smooth and
easy-listening approach of the HD620S."
"Hasn’t Left My Head Since I Received It"
"Despite my rich collection of headphones, which, mind
you, consists of some very fine and exceptional model – headphones that
redefine the listening experience –I still found myself reaching for the HD
620S the most frequently," notes Voja, head-fi.org, November
26, 2024.
"The HD 620S hasn’t left my head since I received it,
making it my new daily driver for the past 4 months… You have two thumbs up
from me, Sennheiser. Well done!"
An Immersive, Spacious, Private Listening Experience
Do you ever wish your surroundings were more suitable for
enjoying long listening sessions? Well, now you no longer have to trade an
impressive soundstage for privacy. The HD 620S lets you experience detailed,
spacious sound like never before in closed-back headphones.
The stainless-steel reinforced ear cup covers not only add
timeless appeal to this masterpiece – they also provide a private listening
session regardless of your surroundings. So, if you’re more into sofa concerts
than kitchen talks, the new HD 620S offers you a distraction-free listening
experience with true-to-life vocals, letting you relive spectacular live
moments without compromising on natural, airy sound.
Open Sound in a Closed-Back Design
Enjoy open-back sound in a closed-back design. Sennheiser
brings it to life. The HD 620S combines the DNA of the HD 600 and 500 series,
bringing the best of both headphone families to a closed chassis.
Sennheiser’s HD 600 series has long been the standard for
natural tone, thanks to a dedication to continuously improving the open-back
concept. The 500 series introduced later offers a soundstage that immerses
listeners in their music. The distinctive DNA combination of these two series
lets the HD 620 excel where many closed headphones struggle, preserving the
detailed, smooth sound the 600 series is known for.
This level of performance is rare for a closed-back design,
and it is sure to change how you think about closed-back headphone sound.
"If you regularly listen to audio in situations where
others can hear you, but you still want a 'big' sound. Sennheiser’s HD 620S
headphones hit that niche really well," reports Geoffrey Morrison, soundstagesolo.com,
July 15, 2024.
An Almost Panoramic Soundstage
Reference-grade 1.65" (42 mm) angled transducers with
1.5" (38 mm) diaphragm and ultra-light 150-ohm aluminum voice coil deliver
exceptional impulse response, expanding the stereo image to an almost panoramic
soundstage.
Imagine hearing every nuance from every direction without
any disturbance. No matter if you love gaming, amateur music production, or
simply listening to exceptionally good audio, the HD 620S takes your passion to
the next level and boosts your emotional experience. So, if you’re looking for
spatial awareness and extraordinary detail retrieval, you need the HD 620S.
