Works but needs attention. I believe slot cars need new brushes but am not sure. This is for someone experienced with slot cars and I would not recommend this set to someone with no experience less learning is your goal then, perfect!
Now a more thorough/my original description:
What a blast we had with these! Definitely played with, parts in great condition-all important pieces are present but missing (8) clips that hold the card board SpongeBob landmarks against the tracks. Personally I’d skip the safety cones and the guard rails and instead put up all the main attractions. Most of the cardboard cut outs are in great condition, one has been taped and another has a tear in it.
The other thing missing is (2) spacers used to build the bridge support however I found a work around-by not pushing in the ‘spacers’ all the way in, you’ll get the clearance needed to be able to drive under the bridge with ease-see last photo. (Also, you’ll be ‘borrowing’ the spacer from one of the two lower support beams) Self explanatory when in front of you..
Clean battery compartment, both control switches function well, both slot cars and tracks in great condition, tracks may have wear on the conduit parts of the track from Lots of racing!
I spent most my time on this making sure all the parts were available and putting the track together. I did test to see if there was still action and there’s power getting through but the cars are not moving as fast as they used too. They’re dragging so may need new brushes. I also realized after putting everything away that the control “plugin pins” were closed in and are supposed to be spaced a part. Very possible that’s the fix! I made a note on the instructions for you to try troubleshooting.
Instructions are present but the original has a tear but I’ve included a copy I obtained online. Box is included but in rough shape so I’m not going to bother placing items in box, box will be flat, but shipped together-responsibly of course!
