For sale is a vintage Panasonic SG-J500 record player / radio / cassette boombox. This is a solid piece for a collector, hobbyist or repair project — being sold **AS-IS** with the issues described below. See photos for exact cosmetic condition.

What it is:

* Panasonic SG-J500 vintage boombox (record player + AM/FM radio + cassette deck)

* Includes the pictured AC power cord

What works:

* Unit powers on.

* Radio tunes and you can receive stations (sound is very low).

* Cassette controls (play, rewind, fast-forward, pause) respond.

What does **not** work / issues to know:

* Sound quality is poor: tape playback produces very low, distorted audio, often runs slow, and can stop intermittently.

* Frequent loud squeal during tape play back or when operating buttons

* Lots of electrical/noise when toggling switches.

* Radio receives only a few stations and volume is very low.

* Phonograph/turntable does **not** spin.

* Overall mechanical/electrical condition is inconsistent — this needs servicing, cleaning, and likely belt/motor/heads/electronics repair.

Cosmetic condition:

* The turntable plastic cover is missing. 

* Typical vintage wear — scuffs, dust, and surface marks consistent with age (see photos).
