Condition: This classic commentary arrives in your hands as a precious 80-year-old hardcover volume with both covers well attached and all pages tight and intact. Only moderate handling shows, especially based on its ultra-vintage age. A few places between the pages you can just begin to see into the spine's mull area, but this is not severe at all. Age foxing is present lightly on the pages and just a little heavier inside the front and back covers on the end pages. The red cloth boards are square, but show some sun fading along the spine, light rubs, small spots, and softened, bumped corners; no dust jacket is present. A previous owner's written inscription appears on the front free endpaper dated 1955. Red ink underlining and marginal emphasis marks appear on numerous pages, but the text remains fully legible and the binding is secure with pages firmly attached. The illustrations and text are as crisp and clear as the day this jewel rolled off the press.
