An elegant and well-proportioned satinwood compactum wardrobe of architectural form, finely veneered throughout in book-matched and quarter-cut satinwood displaying a warm, honeyed patina. The faรงade is centred by a bank of four graduated drawers, fitted with circular turned metal pulls, and flanked by full-height cupboards to either side for balanced, practical storage.

Above, a pair of central upper doors is enriched with oval marquetry panels, composed of finely executed scrolling foliate motifs and framed by delicate inlaid borders. A continuous inlaid frieze band of scrolling floral ornament runs beneath the shaped cornice, unifying the design and highlighting the quality of the cabinetmaking.

The wardrobe is raised on turned tapering legs, lending lightness and elegance despite its substantial scale. The interior is thoughtfully arranged, with the side cupboards opening to full-height hanging spaces fitted with brass hooks and rails, while the central drawers provide generous additional storage. Behind the upper doors, fitted shelving offers further practicality. Interior surfaces retain their original warm finish, consistent with the exterior.

A refined and highly functional example of Edwardian satinwood furniture, ideal for period interiors, grand bedrooms, or elegant dressing rooms.
