Rare Mid-Victorian E & C Challinor Ironstone Bowl This is an exceptional example of mid-19th-century English transferware. Produced by the partnership of Edward and Charles Challinor in Fenton, Staffordshire, this piece dates between 1845 and 1862. It features the timeless Blue Willow pattern, rendered in a deep cobalt blue with the "flow" characteristics highly prized by collectors of Staffordshire pottery. The central scene includes the iconic bridge, pagoda, and the two birds representing the famous star-crossed lovers.
