This large 10½″ limited edition porcelain plate by Fukagawa Porcelain depicts a lively children-at-play scene, rendered in soft enamel colors with traditional Japanese charm. Figures are shown running and celebrating beneath blossoming branches, with a poetic haiku inscription placed below the imagery.

Part of the second issue of the “Children Inspired by Haiku” series, this plate was handcrafted in 1978 and bears the official Fukagawa mark, numbered edition (K/136), and original Made in Japan label.

The larger-than-usual 10½″ diameter makes this plate especially desirable among collectors, decorators, and lovers of Japanese art porcelain.
