These anime VHS tapes are from my own personal collection. They have been stored on shelves in my basement, like a library spines out for 25+ years. Most have been viewed only once, some never watched and still sealed. As seen in the picture of that wall attached.Remember the auction is for only the VHS tape or tapes listed in the description, NOT the entire wall of VHS shown in the final picture for reference.
VHS life expectancy varies from one VHS tape to the next, VHS tapes have been found to deteriorate 10 to 20 percent over the course of 10 to 25 years. Tapes that were made with better quality will have a slightly longer lifespan, and of course if you have kept your VHS tapes in a climate controlled space with optimal temperature and conditions with minimal to no use, they will last a lot longer.

New VHS;
-These VHS tapes are sealed and assumed to be in working condition, they are obviously untested because they are still sealed and show no signs of mold or damage.
Used VHS;
-These are all used viewed once. Really. They were purchased and viewed once, or sometimes not completely watched. Then put back into their sleeves and lined up in alphabetical order on shelves, spines out so that you can see the collection. They have been tested and are in working order. Tested means that they were inserted into a VHS player, and played to confirm working order. They were not fully watched, if they were, I couldnt say viewed once.
AS A COLLECTOR OF VHS, YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE AWARE OF THIS INFORMATION. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE GUARANTEED OR 100% VERIFIED DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE VHS ITSELF.
I CAN ONLY VERIFY THAT THE INFO I HAVE PROVIDED IS ACCURATE, NOT THAT THE VHS TAPE IS PERFECT OR 100% BECAUSE IF ITS SEALED WE CANT SEE OR VIEW IT TO VERIFY THE TRUE CONDITION. YOU CAN BE SURE THAT IF IT HAS VISIBLE DAMAGE, IT IS DESCRIBED IN THE DETAILS. IF THE DAMAGE IS CATASTROPHIC, LIKE AN IMPACT DAMAGE FROM DROPPING, I WILL NOT LIST IT. WE HAVE ALL OVER THE YEARS PURCHASED A NEW VHS, CD, DVD OR BLU-RAY THAT WAS DAMAGED, YOU COULD HAER BITS OF PLASTIC RATTLING AROUND IN THE CASES. IF THAT IS THE CASE I WILL NOT LIST IT. ONE FINAL REMINDER, NONE OF THE VHS THAT I HAVE LISTED OR WILL LIST IN THE FUTURE ARE FORMER RENTALS. ALL HAVE EITHER BEEN VIEWED BY ME OR PURCHASED AND COLLECTED BY ME. Additional “Vintage Manga / Anime VHS” details you may or may not be aware of;
Back in the early 1990’s when the big Anime surge was on in America, many of the early VHS releases from A.D. Vision and U.S. Renditions were not shrink wrapped when they were shipped to comic book stores for sale. I’m not 100% sure that this was even watched once. I was crazy into collecting Anime but watched very few, I was selective in my viewing choices. Even though I collected many titles, the Mature titles really weren’t in my viewing choices. I was more a Speed Racer, Star Blazers, Marine Boy, Astro Boy follower, then Crying Freeman, Giant Robot, Appleseed etc. So this was not likely to have been viewed. Original inserts, if any, are included as seen in the pictures.
