This sign was made up and put in place in a garage building in the south Loop where the original HIT 2002 movie "Barbershop" was filmed.

The production team did not need it, so it was left at it’s original place where it was filmed. It is approximately 6 foot top to bottom and 8 foot left to right.

The "Big Carl's Auto Body" sign appears in the background of exterior shots of the barbershop in the original 2002 movie "Barbershop".

The business was located next door or very close to Calvin's barbershop, which was a real storefront (a former laundromat) at the corner of 79th Street and Exchange Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood of Chicago.

The sign itself was a minor background element used for establishing the neighborhood setting, rather than a significant prop with a detailed description or plot point associated with it.
