2007 George Washington $1
This is the first coin in the U.S. Presidential $1 Coin Program, released in 2007.
It features George Washington on the front.
🔠 Missing Edge Lettering
Normally, these coins have lettering on the edge (rim), not the front or back.
The edge lettering should include:
“E Pluribus Unum”
“In God We Trust” (in 2007 this was on the edge)
The year (2007) and mint mark (P, D, or S)
Missing edge lettering means the coin skipped that step at the mint — a genuine mint error.
This error was fairly well known for the 2007 Washington dollars and is collectible.

Mint State / BU means the coin:
Has never been used in circulation
Shows no wear
Still has original mint luster
