Own a striking piece of legendary Metallica-inspired drum gear!
This genuine Tama Artstar II tom (12"x11") has been finished in the signature black-and-white look made famous by Lars Ulrich during Metallica’s Black Album/Wherever We May Roam, Monsters of Rock '91, Guns N Roses co-headline and Nowhere Else to Roam era (1991–1993) and a number of other appearances during the Sheds, Escape from the Studio '95/Donnington era shows. The bold Piano White shell with black hardware and head mirrors the aesthetic of the iconic Tama Artstar II Signature Kit that defined Metallica’s stadium tours and videos throughout the early to mid 1990s.
While the provenance of this particular drum is not confirmed as one of Lars's drums, a protoype or the original limited-edition Lars Ulrich Artstar II drums, it has been configured to match the era’s visual and tonal style. The hardware customization and overall presentation are wonderful—making this drum a perfect tribute or display piece for collectors and fans alike. I originally bought it as seen in the photos and the owner before me didn't know the history or Metallica significance.

Please check out my other rare and incredible items here on eBay! Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will be happy to help. The drum has occasional cosmetic imperfections. I have done my best to highlight condition, but please use your own good judgement by looking at the photos and bid/offer accordingly. Nerd alert - this drum has the 1st generation (and in my opinion, superior) MTB50 mount fitted, whereas the Lars kits had the cheaper 2nd generation mounts.
