My Take on Record Grading
NM (Near Mint): Clean and well cared for, with minimal signs of handling.
VG (Very Good): Light cosmetic wear, such as faint surface marks or sleeve rub.
G (Good): Noticeable surface scuffs or wear from regular use.
F (Fair): Heavy wear, with significant visible flaws.
W (Worn): Very rough condition, ideal for display, extras, or creative use.
Please Note that not all the sleeves have the following listed flaws. I'm just working with a large lot of them and they are from the 1950s-1980s. Records are graded separately and are usually in better shape than the sleeves.
Sleeves have wear like edge/corner wear, creases, splits/peeling/rips, ring wear, notches/punch holes/cut corners, old stickers/tape/residue, and many have writing or stamp marks (some stamps may be inside the sleeves and not visible in photos). Any stamp marks are blacked out.
I give each record a quick wipe down as I'm listing them, but a proper cleaning is recommended.
