Description
Antique Japanese Lacquerware Jubako Box Plum Design Meiji/Taisho Era
Condition: Very Good
This is an antique Japanese lacquerware jubako (stacked box) featuring a plum design, likely from the Meiji to early Showa period.
The lacquer has a rich, aged appearance, and the plum branch design is very retro.
Originally, this box appears to have had 2-3 tiers, as the branch patterns do not perfectly align.
The box measures approximately 20cm square and 5cm in height (7.5cm including the lid).
Please note that the lacquer is significantly peeling off, especially on the corners. While it has a lovely vintage atmosphere, it is not recommended for food storage. Suitable for those who appreciate antique items, or for use as a decorative item.
