Rare Atari TEMPEST Arcade Game TIN SIGN. Vintage. printed 1981 ?
Measures 14' X 19".
Excellent condition (the Bears side was facing out)
Don't believe this was ever used in production. Probably an advertising prototype.
Reverse side of sign has Superbowl XX Champion Chicago Bears winning season scores and records. The Bears sign was sold after the 1986 Chicago Superbowl win. The Tempest printed tin sheets were reused. The Tempest sign side is miss cut, and has the color codes at the top with some written instructions partially visible. Only a few of the Bears signs actually have the Tempest sign on the back, the rest are blank.
The actual Tempest Game graphics differ in style from this sign. It could have been pre-production or maybe a pending reissue of the game.
A nice piece of Atari Gaming history.
