Antique Wedgwood Teapot S.Y.P. (Simple Yet Perfect)

PEONY England, 1907.

Here is a gorgeous patented Queensware teapot from Wedgwood, called "Simple Yet Perfect" (S.Y.P.).

The pattern is PEONY -- Over-all blue transfer flowers on a white body.

The SYP was patented in 1901-1902, by Wedgwood. This type was manufactured at their Etruria factory between 1905-1919.

This one has an impressed marking date code "3TM", which dates it to the year 1907,

about 119 years-old !

The pot quite beautiful though it does have a large crack down one side (please see picture 4).

The colors are gorgeous and rich and the surface remains shiny and beautiful.

The cover - which is always the most vulnerable part - is perfect!

It is very clean without discoloration. It measures 7-1/4" high x 7-1/2" wide including the spout.
