The 
OPTi 931-3DIS
 (often labeled as Model MF-009) is a vintage 16-bit ISA internal sound card manufactured by OPTi during the late 1990s. It is primarily used in retro computing builds for compatibility with DOS and Windows 95/98 environments. 
Key Technical Features
  • Audio Controller: Powered by the OPTi 82C931 (part of the MAD16 family), it is a highly integrated "Plug and Play" (PnP) controller.
  • Synthesizer: Features an internal OPTiFM™ synthesizer, which is an OPL3 clone designed for FM music in DOS games.
  • Wavetable Support: Includes an IDE Wavetable connector (2x13 pin header), allowing for the addition of an optional wavetable daughterboard for improved MIDI sound.
