New Build of the 5E3 Fender Deluxe Turret Board using Modern Resistors
This is an alternative to the other board I have listed which uses vintage style carbon composite resistors. This one uses modern 1% tolerance 1watt metal film resistors and is a bit more budget friendly whilst arguably being more stable than the vintage style board.
All the parts are of a high quality, the film capacitors are the ones I have made for me that I sell in my shop, made from polypropylene. The power resistors are all sourced from large European or US suppliers. The large power resistor is uprated from 5w to 7w. The large capacitors are Elum brand which are Chinese but I have tested these and they measure well for impedance. Also I have used 500v rated ones vs 450v so have uprated them a bit.
Solder used is leaded so should not have any of the issues with heat cycling that lead free solder has.
The large 250ohm resistor is a wire-wound type rated at 7watts.
The 5k dropper resistor (red) is a metal film power resistor rated at 3watts
The 22k dropper resistor (red) is a metal film power resistor rated at 2watts
All the green resistors are 1watt 1% metal film
Black/Yellow film caps are 630v 5% Polypropylene
The values of the parts are as per the original schematic, shown in the listing photos.
Board dimensions: 230mm x 70mm
The board in the photos is the one you will receive.
I also have a listing for the same board using vintage style carbon composite resistors see link below:
