Material & Craftsmanship: The exterior is entirely covered with the smooth, unique texture of cherry tree bark (木の皮), showcasing a beautiful, naturalistic pattern. This unique material defines it as a high-quality Japanese 工芸品 (Kogei). Design & Function: Designed to store writing instruments such as a brush, ink stone (Suzuri), and water dropper, it features a fitted lid and often includes internal dividers. The design is refined and understated. Aesthetic Appeal: The warm, rustic color and polished finish of the bark make this vintage box a distinctive and sophisticated decorative item for any desk or interior.
