This listing is for router templates or jigs that allow quick and accurate cutting of the needed recesses for Button Fix fixings. The Button Fix fixings are not included.
We currently offer the jigs for the Type 1 fixings - both the smaller flush fixing or the larger triangular surface fixing. We hope to add additional jigs in the future as required. Please let us know if you require a jig for a model not currently listed.
The jigs are designed to be clamped (or if necessary screwed) in place and result in a perfect recess for the fitting. They feature an adjustable fence to allow for accurate, repeatable use. They also feature a flap that can be swung across after the initial cut so that the pilot holes for the fixing screws can be drilled. The fence includes a depth guide to make setting a required depth quick and easy. Lightweight and easy to use. Printed in durable PETG. All hardware included is A2 stainless steel.
Designed to be used with a 12-13mm template router cutter (such as the Trend 1/4" Template Profile Router Cutter 12.7 x 9.5mm shown in the photos). The cutter is not supplied with the template.
The colour of the template jig may vary based on materials in stock when your order is placed.
As with any template, we strongly recommend you try the template on a spare piece of wood first to ensure it's compatible with your fixings and cutter - as well as to familiarise yourself with the process.
Always secure the jig, then position the router carefully within the jig before switching it on. Equally, ensure the router has fully stopped before removing it from the jig. This will prevent damage to the jig.
