Natural Cassiterite Crystal – Bolivia

Weight 44 g approx

Measurements 3.0 x 2.9 x 1.2 cm approx

Origin Bolivia

This is a natural cassiterite specimen from Bolivia, known for producing some of the world’s best tin-oxide crystals.

Cassiterite forms in high-temperature hydrothermal veins and pegmatites, where hot, mineral-rich fluids deposit tin oxide over long geological periods. Its dark colour comes naturally from its tin-oxide composition and trace elements, often showing golden or reddish flashes under strong light.

This is an untreated, natural specimen.
