Tucson's "Lindy Light" Dedication Coin/Token for Col. Charles A. Lindbergh's rotating beacon located at Davis-Monthan Field.
This beautiful and perfect bronze coin is 1-1/2" in diameter.
One side reads "Serving Arizona, Tuscon Airport Authority, 1969."
The opposite side states "Tuscon's 'Lindys' Light, 1927"
This coin is permanently enclosed in a large clear plastic composite paperweight unit. The unit is a perfectly round 2-7/8" diameter and 3/4" thick heavy clear plastic. The total weight of the unit is 3.8 oz. (108 gr). This would look stunning on any desk as others inquire about the strange object.
Original box is included. A note is hand-written on the top cover of the box and apparently is signed by TAA. I cannot make out the note nor the signature. Please look at the photo for your own thoughts.
A paper note from TAA is included inside the box stating:
This "Lindy Light" marked the location of Davis-Monthan Field, once the largest municipal airport in the United States. This rotating beacon was donated by the citizens of Tucson, and Col. Charles A. Lindbergh dedicated both the beacon and the airport when construction was completed in 1927.

This item is pre-owned coming from an estate, and you can make your own grading of it. Absolutely beautiful specimen. Well-kept in original box which has minor wear. No damage whatsoever on the item inside. Please review all pictures and description.
