A Voyage with the Mails between Brisbane – London, produced by the London Stereoscopic Company as the 4th edition, 1920.
The first edition was published in 1914 and this edition has been updated, as far as possible, to show the various places of interest and scenery along the route. By this time there was a reduced service operating, as many of the Orient Line ships had been lost or damaged in the First World War.
There are spaces for notes, autographs, to place a picture of the ship taken on the voyage ( in this case R.M.S. Ormonde, launched 1917), and information on how the Orient Line ships were used during the war.
This is a large format volume with 66pp text and 111 tissue protected photographic illustrations, and 2pp advertisements within linen board covers.
The contents
are good, with some browning to the end papers and closed page edges, a little
creasing and loss to the tissues and the covers with some knocking, fading and
rubbing, 0.900
