SPAL AUTOMOTIVE is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality electric fans and blowers for all types of vehicles and equipment. Founded in Correggio, Italy in 1959, SPAL specializes in airflow cooling systems designs. 

SPAL USA, the North American subsidiary of SPAL Automotive Srl, has serviced our customers with axial fans, centrifugal blowers and 12V accessories since 1989.  Our sales, distribution & tech center is housed in a 40,000 ft2 facility in Ankeny, Iowa. From this location, SPAL USA provides value-added systems, components & support for OEM and aftermarket applications.

SPAL cooling fans are the result of more than 50 years engineering experience. SPAL uses advanced modeling software and computer-assisted simulation systems to develop electric motors and blades that optimize a fan’s ability to pull air cleanly through the radiator core.

While many cooling fans are pieced together from many different vendors, SPAL controls all aspects of its engineering and manufacturing processes from the design and tooling of injection molds to the winding of each electric motor at its ISO 9001 and TS16949-certified facilities.


High Performance
SPAL High Performance fans offer the ultimate advantage in airflow.  Our enhanced motor design ensures that you get the maximum possible performance while benefiting from motor life that is second to none.  Each one of our fan motors are sealed to IP68 standards making them waterproof/dustproof as well as individually tested and balanced to ensure the highest of quality you have come to expert from SPAL.

SPAL dual fan configurations combine efficiency and style by incorporating two of our 11" or 12" high performance fans into a complete, custom made fan shroud.  Air flaps on the outer portion of the shroud allow ram air from a moving vehicle to flow freely through the radiator core, thereby harnessing as much natural airflow as possible, while still optimizing the effitiveness of the fans while at lower speeds or when completely stoppped.  WHen you need your system cooled, our high performance fans are just what you need."

Medinum Profile 
SPAL Medium Profile fans are perfect when you require industry-leading airflow but don't have the space for our High Performance fan.  This line ulitizes the same technology as our High Performance fans, but places it into a smaller package.  These fans provide a performance boost in a very economical, space-saving design.

Low Profile
SPAL Low Profile fans offer industry-leading airflow on even the most demanding cores.  Our highly efficient motors ensure the greatest possible airflow in the thinnest possible design.  At SPAL, we realize that not all applications demand the ultimate in airflow, but sometimes require a fan that must fit in tight spaces.
