For your kind consideration is this CGC 9.0 VF/NM (very fine/near mint) newsstand copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #238 with white pages from 1983. This issue features the first appearance of Hobgoblin and includes the Tattooz as evedinced by the blue, universal label.
Look, I love to haggle over collectibles. I'm just weird like that. Since that's the case, please take a look at my asking price and if you feel that's acceptable, by all means, purchase the book. However, if you'd like to make me a reasonable offer, please do so. I'll consider that offer and get back to you ASAP. I'll let you in on a little secret...if your offer is, in fact, reasonable, I will almost certainly accept it. Lately, not many people have been making offers on my slabs and I considered listing this as a "buy it now," without accepting offers. However, I just can't bring myself to commit such a heinous act.
For those of you who care about such things, here's how this particular book came into my possession and its history since then. I purchased it, raw, from a local comic show just outside Pittsburgh on March 23, 2025. I then cleaned and pressed the book myself and it was slabbed on June 30, 2025 as revealed by looking up its certification # (4600669001) on either CGC's or GoCollect's website. You can also access the grader's notes and pictures on either site. The book/slab has been in my possession since its purchase date.
FYI, I include a free, raw mystery book with every slab I sell, usually from the same title...just a little incentive, that's all.
Your newly acquired CGC 9.0 VF/NM copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #238 will be shipped to you no later than the day after receiving payment, via USPS priority mail (unless, of course, that day is a Sunday), double-boxed, and surrounded with enough bubble wrap to make you wonder if I located and sampled my son's stash of "medicinal" weed. FYI, I did not, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Seriously, I use a baked amount of bubble warp, ask around.
Please check out my other listings. I add new books all the time.
Finally, thanks for your time and consideration, both are greatly appreciated.
