Attractive unsigned, 1574 medal commemorating the relief of Leyden (Leiden) from the Spanish siege on October 3rd. Obverse: Bird's-eye view of the city of Leiden, with Spanish troops withdrawing from their fortified camp in the foreground Reverse: An angel destroys the army of Sennacherib before the besieged city of Jerusalem. This appears to be a later copy. Highly collectible at this price range.
