Original, 3 x 5-inch photograph showing the churning surf as it pounds upon the shore at Catalina Island during the Santa Ana winds. The viewpoint is taken from the boardwalk and grounds of the Hotel St. Catherine and looks toward the old Sugarloaf Casino...torn down in 1929 to make way for the new, larger Casino seen today.
