An event eagerly awaited by the public and trade press: on August 8th. In December 1982, Mercedes-Benz introduced the W201, which was marketed as a 190 sedan and can undoubtedly be counted among the most successful models in the history of Mercedes-Benz . Compact dimensions, low weight and increased cost-effectiveness without losing sight of factors such as driving characteristics, safety and reliability: the successful compact class sedan set standards and supplemented the traditional Mercedes-Benz passenger car range with another main line as the 190 and 190 E models. While the 190 model had a carburetor engine that was reduced from 109 hp to 90 hp by reducing the size of the inlet and outlet ports and using a new camshaft and modified valves, the 190 E used a newly developed variant with gasoline injection. The precision model of the top model 190 E is based on the original with the highest level of detail and enriches any collection. The model car is not only painted in the authentic color, but also impresses with a detailed representation of the interior. The doors, hood and tailgate of the model can be opened and provide a view of the interior of the car. The miniature model is delivered in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging, which includes a screwdriver for easy removal and a glove to protect against fingerprints on the windows and body.
