RAPHAEL SOYER was a gifted artist within the social realist school.  Here we offer an elegantly simple and beautiful hand-drawn image  of a woman, hand-signed by Soyer.   My wife and I are fine art collectors and acquired this piece many years ago.  It has been archivally matted and framed in an elegant frame, UV protected; framed at Merwin's Art, the leading framer in New Haven.  We love this piece for its simplicity -- with a few lines, Soyer creates the image of a woman, just like Matisse -- but we are down-sizing.
