WHY BUY THIS PART FROM US….
We are one of EBay’s Top Rated Plus Sellers…..
Most sellers on eBay of car parts go to u-pull-it junk yards and then post the items for sale, not knowing if they work, and then offer a no return policy, and no refunds. Therefore, being able to offer you a cheaper alternative, then YOU as a customer have no guarantee that any part works and may just be throwing away your hard earned money.
Our units are pulled at a family ran auto salvage yard, where they do not buy just any vehicle.. Upon entry, before buying, vehicles are tested with a battery in them, for engine, transmission, and electrical issues, from power mirrors, to power seats, fuel pumps, (by running the vehicles and making sure there are no bypass wires), all lights, etc. etc.. Most vehicles that are bought have been in an accident, or the frame may be broken.
This means they assure they are selling quality parts themselves and not taking in “junk”, but also assures that I am selling top quality OEM parts myself. Meaning I am able to offer you a free 30 day return policy. (Please continue reading as I do protect myself against fraud).
New York State Authorized Seller: KC Liquidation and Resales, TF5835945.
Part pulled from a working vehicle with no known electrical issues and TESTED.
Please match part numbers, (some units have two part numbers), in photos with pre existing unit to ensure compatibility. ( I will NOT issue a refund, if you buy the wrong part, it is your responsibility to ensure compatibility ).
Please feel free to reach out and contact me if you have ANY issue or questions in regards to the unit you receive.
Please note that each item has distinguished markings and I do video the packaging of every unit and my identifiers, and if returned I do video record full un-packaging to protect myself and to deter fraudulent returns. If requesting a return, I will wait to receive the item back and verify that it is the unit I sent before initiating refund.
A SOFT RESET…..
A soft reset of a Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles can typically be performed using one of two methods: a battery disconnect or an ignition key cycle.
Method 1: Ignition Key Cycle (No Battery Disconnect)
This method resets the system without losing data like radio presets.
Insert the key into the ignition (or, for push-start vehicles, press the "Start" button twice to the "ON" position without your foot on the brake).
Turn the key to the "RUN" or "ON" position (just short of starting the engine).
Wait for at least 120 seconds (2 minutes).
Turn off the vehicle.
Start the vehicle as you normally would.
You may need to repeat this procedure several times if the warning lights persist.
Method 2: Battery Disconnect
This method is often used after installing a new or rebuilt TIPM and is sometimes also referred to as a form of "hard reset" in some guides.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal, followed by the positive terminal.
Wait for 10-15 minutes to allow the module's internal computer to clear its minor faults and residual power to drain.
Reconnect the positive cable first, then the negative cable.
After reconnecting, turn the ignition on and off a few times to help the system recalibrate.
A HARD RESET AFTER CONNECTING TIPM TO YOUR VEHICLE…..
To hard reset a Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM), you need to completely drain all residual electrical energy from the vehicle's system after disconnecting the battery. The specific procedure may vary slightly by vehicle model, but the core steps are:
Method 1: Connecting the Battery Cables Together (Most Common)
This method uses the vehicle's own wiring to safely drain power from the capacitors within the TIPM.
Remove the ignition key.
Disconnect the negative battery cable first, using a wrench or socket (typically 10mm or 13mm).
Disconnect the positive battery cable second.
Secure the disconnected positive and negative cables together, ensuring they are completely clear of the battery terminals. You can use a zip tie to hold them together. There may be initial sparking as power is drained.
Leave the cables connected together for a significant period, preferably overnight (8 hours) or at least several hours, to ensure all capacitors are fully discharged. A shorter time of 10-15 minutes may perform a "soft" reset, but an overnight duration is recommended for a true hard reset.
Reconnect the positive battery cable to the battery positive (+) post after separating the two cables.
Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery negative (-) post last.
Attempt to start the vehicle and confirm normal operation.
Method 2: Pressing the Brake Pedal
An alternative for some Dodge models is to drain residual power by engaging electrical components that use the capacitors.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the positive battery cable.
Press and hold the brake pedal for 30 seconds (or turn on the headlights for a few minutes) to help drain any remaining power in the system's capacitors.
Reconnect the positive cable, then the negative cable.
Important Notes:
Safety First: Always disconnect the negative battery cable first and reconnect it last to prevent electrical shorts.
Post-Reset: After reconnecting the battery, turn the ignition to the "ON" position (without starting the engine) for a few seconds to allow the TIPM and other modules time to recalibrate and communicate properly.
New/Used TIPMs: If you have replaced the TIPM, performing a hard reset may be all that is needed, but sometimes programming at a dealership with an appropriate scan tool may be required for specific VIN details.
Troubleshooting: If issues persist, inspect all fuses and relays within the TIPM to ensure they are fully seated, as they can sometimes loosen.
Thank you for choosing us for your vehicle needs.
