If you drive your Jeep Wrangler 4xe in cold winters, then you probably know of the "Fuel & Oil Refresh Mode" (FORM). In order to clear the FORM and return to normal operation, many conditions need to be met. One of those condition is for the engine oil to get to a high enough temperature (90 Celsius/194 Fahrenheit). This condition is very difficult to achieve during the cold winter months.
The DeFORM grille covers blocks cold air from entering the engine compartment during the winter, allowing the engine get warm enough and clear the FORM. The DeFORM grille covers are made with Flame Retardant ABS plastic that conforms to the UL-94 standard, commonly used in the automotive industry. The DeFORM grille covers can easily be installed or removed in seconds, without the use of any tools. They are also safe to use in contactless car washes.
This kit is COMPLETE and includes both the Lower and Upper covers (14 individual covers in total).
Use for cold weather operation. The covers are not recommended for ambiant outside air temperature above 40F (4C). Remove immediately if engine shows signs of overheating. Remove if towing heavy loads. Manufacturer is not responsible for damage due to misuse.
