A delightful antique and believed to be Clement Massier porcelain wall-mounted vesta holder modelled as a butterfly, dating to the Arts & Crafts period c1900. Designed to hold matches or spills, with a lined striker panel to one side. Incised numbers 3172 and 34 to the reverse. Maker unknown, though the style suggests French Clement Massier or German origins—possibly Quimper or Dresden.
