This impressive vintage Reed & Barton silver-plated ice bucket (Pattern 229) is a refined example of mid-century American hotelware. Made in Taunton, Massachusetts, USA, it features Reed & Barton’s signature craftsmanship with a bright mirror-polished body, bold lion head ring handles, a shaped domed lid, and a decorative acorn-form finial. The underside is clearly hallmarked: “REED & BARTON 229.”
