Run Capacitor

Run capacitors are used in a wide variety of motors. They are used on some single-phase motors to energize the auxiliary coil to create a rotating magnetic field while the motor is running. In other words it helps the motor’s torque and efficiency performance.

Dual Run Capacitor

The Dual Capacitor can be easily Distinguished by its Three Terminals.

Each Terminal is Labeled

C – Common

F – Fan

HERM – Hermetically Sealed compressor

Some additional Information on Selection:

• Works to replace any capacitor brand with same specifications.
• Select the correct Capacitance: do not use a different value than the one established by the manufacturer. The Microfarad ratings should be the same.
• Verify the Voltage on the capacitor to replace: Increasing the voltage rating will have no contrary effect on the performance of the motor. If you are replacing a 370V capacitor, you can use a 370V or 450V.
• Multiple.
• Cycle ratings: All Appli Parts Capacitors are 50/60Hz rated.

• Shape of Capacitor: The shape of the capacitor only affects the fitting on the equipment. The actual performance or capacities do not vary regarding the shape of the capacitor.
• Size of Capacitor: Due to new technologies available, you may find different sizes for the same ratings. Besides affecting the fitting on the equipment, this has no other effect on the actual product.
• Material of Capacitor: Choose between a Metal Case capacitor and a Plastic Case if you are using your capacitor in humid conditions (i.e. Washing ).
• Working Temperature: This capacitors are design for extreme working conditions. From -40F (-40C) to 185F (85C).
