 The obverse (heads) features a dramatic representation of the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” The design also includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, representing industry and innovation. “2026,” the mint mark, and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are incused on the coin’s edge.

Introducing the United States Mint American Innovation™ $1 Coin Program. The new 15-year initiative honors innovators and innovations from each state, the District of Columbia, and the five U. S. territories—Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The United States Mint American Innovation $1 Coin Program will run from 2018 through 2032.
