Original 1960s cosmetology hair-setting tie nets, used by stylists and beauty-school students to secure roller sets, pin curls, and mannequin practice styles. These long mesh panels were designed to tie under the chin and keep styles smooth while drying or sleeping.
The blue net features a beautiful metallic crochet-style trim and wide mesh pattern. The black net is a finer, more traditional cosmetology training style.
Perfect for:
• vintage hair collectors
• cosmetology memorabilia
• pin-up / retro styling
• wig setting
• mannequin head work
• costuming
Condition:
True vintage. Both are unused old stock from a 1968 cosmetology kit. Mesh is intact with expected natural stretch.
NOTE: These haven’t been used, but are old and have been stored in my mom’s cosmetology suitcase. The two were stored together, and the turquoise net picked up some staining from the black net. I’ve included multiple close up pictures. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thanks!
Smoke-free home.
