HARD TO FIND THESE 'MULTI-COIN' HOLDERS!
1986-S & 2021-W Type 2 American Silver Eagles 2 Coin Multi-holder – multiholder - multi-coin MAGNUM OPUS PCGS PR70 Mercanti and Damstra SIGNED.
You may recognize magnum (meaning "great") as a
Latin word that shows up in altered forms in several English words and perhaps
you can also come up with a few words that are related to opus
("work"). Magnitude, magnanimous, opulent and operate are some
obvious relations of the two. Magnum opus, which entered English in the 18th
century, retains the original Latin spelling and the literal meaning
"great work." Although the term most often refers to literary,
musical or artistic productions, it has been used to describe many kinds of
great works, including COINS, games, construction projects, and even surgical
techniques.
The 1986-S Silver Eagle is the first year of issue for the
series. Decades after the 1986-S Proof Silver Eagle was produced, examples
still remain extremely popular with collectors. And for many years the coins
have sold at significant premiums over their original issue prices.
2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin
Program. The United States Mint unveiled new reverse (tails) designs for
bullion and collectible versions of American Eagle Gold and Silver Coins. The
new designs (Type 2) began appearing on these coins in midyear 2021 and
included an anti-counterfeit reeded edge variation.
