Shurtape HP-235 Highly Recycled Corrugate Packaging Tape is recommended for medium-weight, highly recycled or 100% PCW/OCC cartons. It is used for packaging and bundling and for repairing cartons and paper. It has high holding power even on highly recycled or 100% PCW/OCC cartons. HP 235 offers tough, aggressive and consistent case sealing performance. Adheres well to recycled corrugate, recycled paper and a variety of other substrates. The tape is designed with an enhanced adhesive engineered specifically for sealing highly recycled corrugated containers, particularly 100-percent recycled. The optimized adhesive formula results in higher adhesion and higher shear, and also provides for increased fiber tear when the tape is removed, offering tamper-evident security.

According to the Corrugated Packaging Alliance, "more than 74 percent of the corrugated manufactured today is recovered for reuse." As the recycled content in corrugated containers increases, smaller fibers and more fillers are used, which can affect packaging tape’s ability to create a secure seal.
