This elegant studio pottery vase was handcrafted by Van Briggle Pottery in Colorado Springs and bears the rare incised signature “Anne Van Briggle Colo. Spgs.” on the base. This full-name signature suggests a more personal or limited production piece, likely from the mid-century era when Anne Van Briggle led the studio’s artistic direction.  The piece is believably from the 1960s.

The vase features a rich, glossy brown glaze with subtle tonal variations that resemble polished wood. Its bulbous base, narrow neck, and gracefully curved handle showcase the sculptural finesse Van Briggle was known for, blending Arts and Crafts sensibility with mid-century studio elegance.
