It comes with the original cord. I have not tried to plug it in. The cord has electric tape wrapped on some spots and there are other spots that need to be checked by an electrician. One of the button have been glued on to the button it broke off of. You can see it in the photos. There are some rust spots on it too. I included pictures of the power cord to show why I chose not to plug it in.
