Woodsmith Fine Tools, No. 602 Set-Up Gauge, Brass, Wood, Near Mint

This fine tool, made of brass and wood, was a nice estate find. The two components slide alongside each other in a kind of channel and can be locked in place. It opens to a distance of 2 9/16ths inches as shown in one photo. It has a small eye screw for hanging the tool. As I’ve never used this tool I can’t comment further. Another comp lists this as a set-up tool and the buyer is sure to fully understand its use.

The tool looks new. I see no evidence of wear. In doing the photos I noticed a date inscribed in the narrow channel on which one component rides:9/1/94. The vast majority of tools I sell are in fact vintage.
