Description: A stunningly gorgeous cabinet plate elaborately decorated with gold scrolls on a rich cobalt blue border and featuring a lovely hand-painted central roundel of colorful summer flowers surrounded by gold foliate on a white ground.

Signed: Artist signature “E. Phillips” in central roundel. Ernest Phillips was a prominent artist for Royal Worcester, known for his exquisite floral paintings and intricate designs on porcelain. He worked for the company from 1890 to 1932. Phillips specialized in painting delicate floral arrangements and still-life subjects on Royal Worcester porcelain. Phillips was considered one of the most highly regarded floral painters during Royal Worcester's "golden era".


Hallmarks / Authenticity: Royal Worcester 1921 backstamp with small asterisk and 5 dots below the mark.


Condition Report: very good antique condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration to the plate.

There is some color change to the gold where it appears slightly darker in places. There are also some light scratches in the florals. Please refer to all pictures as they depict the actual plate you are considering.
