Akai GX-260D Reel to Reel Tape Deck Auto Reverse w Glass XTal Ferrite Heads Vintage

This unit is a beautiful example of Akai’s legendary 1970s engineering, featuring their wear-resistant "Glass & X'Tal" (Crystal) Ferrite heads. The unit is in good cosmetic condition and mechanical operation has been verified.

Testing & Functionality:

• Transport Tested: I have tested the transport mechanics. The deck Plays Forward, Auto-Reverses, and Plays in Reverse smoothly.

• Video Demonstration: Please see the attached video to watch the reels in motion and the auto-reverse function in action.

• Controls: All buttons, knobs, and switches appear to toggle and latch correctly.

• Lighting: VU meter lights and indicator lamps are functioning.

• Audio/Input Note: While the mechanical transport works well, the specific audio Inputs and Outputs have not been tested with an amplifier or recording source. It is being sold as a tested working transport, but audio calibration is unverified.
