The CV211 is a compact laptop USB console crash cart adapter that converts a laptop into a portable console for direct access to servers and unattended systems. It provides BIOS-level control and local desktop access when network access is unavailable or restricted. The unit is designed for IT technicians who need a lightweight, transportable alternative to traditional crash carts. Key capabilities include virtual media support for OS patching and software installation, bi-directional file transfer between the laptop and target system, and image capture and video recording of remote sessions. The GUI console window automatically resizes to match the remote desktop or can be manually adjusted for precise viewing. The CV211 also supports hotkey macros and a multi-language on-screen keyboard to accelerate administrative tasks. Performance specifications support analogue video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse emulation. The adapter is USB bus powered and consumes 2.35 W at DC 5.0 V, removing the need for an external power supply in most laptop troubleshooting scenarios. Firmware is upgradable to maintain compatibility and add features over time. Connectivity includes one USB Mini Type B laptop console port and built-in KVM cables comprising one USB Type A male and one VGA male (blue) for direct connection to a target computer. An LED indicates operational status. The product is plug-and-play and does not require software installation on the target system, simplifying rapid deployment. Typical applications include server room on-site maintenance, kiosk and ATM troubleshooting, and field service visits where secure internet access is not permitted. The CV211 captures records of maintenance sessions through video and image capture for audit and training purposes. Its small footprint and built-in cable clip make it easy to carry and organize during field work. The CV211 housing is molded plastic and the device is small enough to be handheld. It operates in normal room temperatures from 0 to 40 C and stores from -20 to 60 C, with a humidity tolerance of 0 to 80% RH non-condensing. The combination of straightforward connectivity, USB bus power, and compact design delivers a practical, low-weight crash cart alternative for technicians and support teams.
