ENVELOPE/EFO - U621 sz 12, POSSIBLY UNLISTED "CLOSE TO" MISSING COLOR VARIETIES

     ENVELOPE/E.F.O. - U621 sz 12, POSSIBLY UNLISTED 'CLOSE TO" VARIETIES

    This is a tough one.  Both UPSS and Scott list 2 varieties of the U621 sz 12. One is with the red missing, and one is with the purple missing.

     However, for the size 23, UPSS lists ONE variety with the RED omitted and ONE variety with BOTH the red and purple omitted.

     What I have here is, in a UPSS SIze 12:
          1, The purple is PARTIALLY omitted, and
          2. The red is almost entirely omitted.

     Some minor squinting required; what you see here is a faint red area, but what makes this envelope interesting is that the "reddish" area extends several mm to the left of the 29, but it should end a few mm to the right of the 29.

     I give up... this one is beyond me.  The second scan shows this variety against the normal one above it.

     This envelope is mint, and in excellent condition.

     Many of the lots I sell are listed in some "Catalog" with a well-defined price, and thus are easy to list. However, some items of Postal History having unusual cancels, postage rates, usages, or supplementary markings, or various types of Errors/Freaks/Oddities or Advertising Messages are NOT listed in any catalog... and at that point, I throw up my hands, take a guess, and hope I'm in the right ballpark.
     In order to home in on a realistic price we can both live with, I use the "Make Offer" feature which eBay provides.
     I invite you to try this feature.  You might actually enjoy it, and you can save some money. I do, however, ask the following:
     1. The system was designed by eBay for YOU to make the offer. Please don't write to me and ask me how much is the least I'll accept.
     2. My software may automatically ACCEPT your offer, DECLINE your offer, or refer it to me for further consideration.
     3. If an item doesn't sell during a 30-day listing, I'll probably re-list it, after taking a few percentage points off the price. You CAN wait until the price drops into your range... however, there MAY be another buyer out there who wants it just a little more than you do.

ALL SMALL, "FLAT" SHIPMENTS - stamps, Cinderella Items, Postal Stationery, Postal History and First Dav Covers - will be shipped in a Calumet hard cardboard mailer. This mailer offers much greater protection than bubble wrap, and is only a little heavier and more costly to ship.
Larger items will be shipped in corrugated mailers, tubes, or whatever is necessary.

A FINAL WORD - ABOUT MY SCANS: What you get will be BETTER than what you see! Computer scans often show darker or lighter areas which aren't on the actual item, and the larger the object to be scanned, the more areas will be affected. Plus, I scan using a "cover sheet" to hold the item in place, and the plastic cover can creates glare.
