Beautiful wooden display model of the Hawker Hurricane Mk I, the aircraft that helped turn the tide during the Battle of Britain. This model represents a Hurricane in RAF camouflage with the squadron code JU-B, a style used by No. 257 Squadron, RAF.
The model is hand-carved from solid mahogany and hand-painted in accurate early-war colors with RAF roundels, green/brown camouflage, and canopy framing. It includes carved gun ports, an antenna mast with rigging, and comes mounted on a solid wood display base.

Good overall. Paint is bright with no major chips. A small amount of canopy surface cracking/crazing is visible on close inspection, typical of PI hand-carved aircraft models. Antenna wire intact. Base is clean and sturdy.
First flown in 1935, the Hawker Hurricane accounted for 60% of RAF victories during the Battle of Britain. Its rugged construction and stable gun platform made it a favorite among early-war pilots. Hurricanes served in every major early theater of WWII, from the Channel Front to North Africa and the Mediterranean.
